Dayne E. Nix, Ph.D.

Biography
Dr. Nix served in the Marine Corps from 1974 - 1979, and the U.S. Navy from 1983-2008. He is a retired U.S. Navy chaplain and served worldwide in Navy and Marine Corps assignments. Dr. Nix maintains an interest in the intersection of religion, security and international relations His current scholarly interests focus on the ways nation state's leverage religion to accomplish strategic ends, particularly during the First World War and the Soviet-Afghan conflict of 1979-1989.
