Biography

Professor Baker has served as the associate director at the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy since 2015, focusing on leader development in the profession of arms. He teaches in the College of Leadership and Ethics. Retiring after 30 years, his Navy assignments included two ballistic missile submarine tours in the Pacific and two fast attack submarine tours in the Atlantic. His shore duty assignments included on submarine operational staffs in Yokosuka, Japan and in Bangor, Washington. Dr. Baker has held instructor assignments in the NWC’s resident program, the NWC’s College of Distance Education and the Navy’s Command Leadership School.
