Biography

A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Capt. Adams was designated a naval aviator in February 2003. He flew the MH-60S Seahawk helicopter while assigned to Helicopter Combat Support Squadron (HC) 11, Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 21, HSC 3 and HSC 12, completing deployments to the 5th and 7th Fleet areas of operations, including a land based air ambulance deployment in Kuwait and Iraq. His shore assignments include Executive Officer of Integrated Air and Missile Defense at U.S. European Command and commanding officer of Training Squadron (VT) 27. Recently he served as air officer aboard amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6). He holds an M.A. in national security studies from NWC.

2023

Air Officer, USS AMERICA

Led over 250 Sailors in execution of all aircraft handling, refueling, launch, recovery and air planning operations. Completed 4 patrols in support of 31st MEU operations.
2021

Commanding Officer, Training Squadron TWO SEVEN

Led an instructor cadre of over 75 Naval Aviation instructor pilots responsible for the primary flight training of over 350 Student Naval Aviators.
2018

US European Command J38

Executive Officer for J38 Integrated Air and Missile Defense supporting plans, exercises and operations in the EUCOM AOR.
2016

Department Head, Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron TWELVE

Forward Deployed Naval Forces assigned to Atsugi Japan. Multiple deployments in 7th Fleet onboard USS George Washington and USS Ronald Reagan.
