Biography

Leif Bergey is an associate professor in the War Gaming Department, Center for Naval Warfare Studies. He has been part of the NWC War Gaming faculty since March 2010. A retired Navy commander, he served 24 years as a Naval Aviator. His previous assignments include Training Air Wing 5, chief staff officer; U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, future operations and knowledge management officer; Navy Warfare Development Command, Sea Shield Undersea Warfare Officer; Patrol Squadron 1, operations officer; Special Projects Patrol Squadron 1, aviation safety and flight officer; Patrol Squadron Eight, assistant tactics and command services, department head; Patrol Squadron 92, Aircrewman-FCO.
