Biography

Professor Matt Griffin, a former Navy Cryptologist and graduate of the Naval War College with distinction, serves as an Associate Professor in the College of Maritime Operational Warfare. He directs the Rochefort Group, integrating Information Warfare into CMOW and fleet education through lectures, workshops, exercises, and consultative support. He holds a Doctor of Executive Leadership and remains committed to leader development across the Navy and beyond.

2021

Associate Professor

Provides operational-level education and direct support to fleet commanders and their staffs. His work focuses on advancing warfighting proficiency in contested maritime environments and strengthening the integration of information-based capabilities across planning and operations.

Assist and Assess Team

Served as the Information Warfare expert on the Navy's training team that trained, assessed, and certified Maritime Operations Centers in fleet headquarters.

Director Fellow, CNO SSG XXXI

Generated innovative concepts for the Navy to employ in the complex electromagnetic environment. Outlined the challenges, opportunities, and revolutionary advantages of using Electromagnetic Maneuver Warfare as a primary means of warfighting by 2025 for the CNO.
