Biography

Lt. Col. Michael C. Shaw is a military professor in the Strategy and Policy Department. He most recently graduated from the Army War College. An Army aviator, his past assignments include battalion command, Army staff, commander's initiative group, and various other command and staff positions. Past operational tours include in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Spartan Shield, and Operation Inherent Resolve.

Professional Highlights

2019

Battalion Command

Commanded 1-14th Aviation Regiment, the Army's sole AH64D/E training battalion. Responsible for undergraduate and graduate level training for all AH64 flight proficiencies.

As a member of the Army's G-3/5/7, I served as the Army's Aviation integration officer.
2015

Aviation Branch G-3 Proponency

The branch proponent for execution and coordination of the Aviation Restructure Initiative between all aviation enterprise stakeholders.
