Biography

Lt. Col. Noble B. Wonsetler is a military professor in the Joint Military Operations Department. He is a career U.S. Army armor officer and previously served as the commander of 3rd Battalion, 66th Armored Regiment, a combined arms battalion at Fort Riley, Kansas. He served at all levels from platoon to division and commanded at the company and battalion level. He has completed operational rotations and combat deployments to Germany, Korea, Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan. He received a Bachelor of Art in history from Texas A&M University and a Master of Military Arts and Science in operations from the School of Advanced Military Studies at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

Battalion Commander

Commander of 3rd Battalion, 66th Armored Regiment, a Combined Arms Battalion assigned to 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas charged with command, operations, and training of all organic and attached assets.
2021

Chief of Staff, Operations Group, Joint Multinational Readiness Center

Responsible for the administration and support of the Operations Group at the Joint Multinational Training center in Hohenfels, Germany. Oversaw the resourcing of all training rotations and events.
2019

Task Force/Brigade Operations OC/T

Task Force and Brigade level operations Observer/Controller Trainer (O/CT) at the Joint Multinational Training center in Hohenfels, Germany. Provided feedback and assessment for multiple annual rotations including all US Army BCT types and NATO Allies and Partners.
2017

Battalion and Brigade Operations Officer

Served as the Operations Officer for 1st Battalion, 12th Cavalry and 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Cavazos, Texas. Controlled and planned operations and training for both elements.
2016

Division Maneuver Planner

Maneuver Planner for 1st Cavalry Division while it was forward deployed as the United States Forces - Afghanistan (USFOR-A) headquarters. Planner portfolio included planning Title 10 support to all US forces and force structure of the advising teams.
