Biography

Professor Shuster joined the Naval War College faculty in August 2009 as the Defense Intelligence Agency’s representative before being hired by the college in 2012 as a member of the Joint Military Operations Department. Shuster earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Modern European History in 2000 from George Washington University. He is the author of "German Disarmament After World War I: The Diplomacy of International Arms Inspection, 1920-1931" (Routledge, 2006) and “The Iraq Survey Group: From WMD to COIN” (Journal of Strategic Studies, 2008).
