Capt. Logan was designated a naval aviator in 1999. In 2013, he earned a Master of Arts degree in national security and strategic studies with distinction from the U.S. Naval War College. His assignments include flying tours in Jacksonville, Florida; Fallon, Nevada; and San Diego, where he amassed over 3,000 hours flying carrier-based H-60 Seahawk helicopters. In 2015, he commanded Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron Six. Most recently, he served as the navigator aboard the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln. Commissioned in 1997 at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, he earned a Bachelor of Science in business. He is a native of Dayton, Ohio.
