Biography

Associate Professor Stacy Pedrozo joined the faculty of the College of Maritime Operational Warfare after serving a 30-year career as a U.S. Navy judge advocate. Her career includes numerous operational law assignments in the Indo-Pacific region. She was the commanding officer of the Naval Justice School, a military fellow at the Council of Foreign Relations in New York City, the staff judge advocate for U.S. Pacific Fleet and for her final four years on active duty, the staff judge advocate for U.S. Indo-Pacific Command.

2018

Staff Judge Advocate USINDOPACOM

Served as senior Staff Judge Advocate for USINDOPACOM where she provided legal and policy advice on issues related to all aspects of operational planning, including counter-terrorism, maritime security, sanctions enforcement, freedom of navigation operations and disaster relief.
2011

Commanding Officer, Naval Justice School

Assumed Command of the Naval Justice School, overseeing the education of all USN, USMC, and USCG judge advocates, legalmen, and legal service specialists.
2010

Military Fellow, Council on Foreign Relations

Served as the U.S. Navy's Military Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, conducting research and speaking on Asia-Pacific Foreign Policy issues.
2005

Staff Judge Advocate, US Pacific Fleet and JTF-519

Served as senior Staff Judge Advocate for U.S. Pacific Fleet and JTF-519, advising on operational plans, law of the sea issues, information operations, and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.
