Biography

Cmdr. Steven Walker, U.S. Navy, is a surface warfare officer. He first deployed aboard USS Thomas C. Hart (FF 1092) in support of Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Ashore, he taught at Surface Warfare Officers School Command. Following a break in service and transition to the Naval Reserve, he supported operational level of war (OLW) planning on the 7th Fleet Staff. He served as an OLW planner and Future Operations Synch director while deployed to Kuwait in support of CJTF-Operation Inherent Resolve. He deployed to CJTF-Horn of Africa to serve as Global Force Manager. Additionally, he served in command of underway replenishment and Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron units.
