Biography

Col. Scott was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. He enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserves in 1994 and commissioned in 2000 after graduating from Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville, with a BS in History. Col. Scott has served in a variety of infantry, reconnaissance, and special operations billets. Past tours include command of 2d Marine Raider Support Battalion, forward deployed as the Commander, Special Operations Task Force - North in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, and attendance of the Israel National Defense College. Most recently, he served as director of operations at Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command.

2023

Director Of Operations (G-3) Marine Forces Special Operations Command

Responsible for all matters pertaining to global force management, SERE/PR, cyber, air/fires, current operations, and future operations of Marine Special Operations Forces.
2021

Director of Training, Education, and Exercises (G-7) Marine Forces Special Operations Command

Responsible for managing training and education policy within prescribed USMC and USSOCOM standards. Oversaw the predeployment certification exercise for deploying Marine Special Operations Forces.

Commanding Officer, 2d Marine Raider Support Battalion

Commanded a battalion comprised of Communiations, logistics, and intelligence professionals. Forward deployed as the Commander of Special Operations Task Force - North in Irbil, Iraq.
