Biography

Tyler Bowen is an assistant professor in the Strategic and Operational Research Department at the U.S. Naval War College. His research focuses on nuclear deterrence, nuclear weapons strategy, and U.S. grand strategy. His current book project examines how nuclear weapons affect the utility of conventional military superiority. He received a Ph.D. in Political Science from Yale University and previously worked as the Stanton Visiting Scientist at the United States Air Force Academy.
