U.S. Naval War College (NWC) will hold its 17th annual Regional Alumni Symposium (RAS) in Bergen, Norway. The event is co-sponsored by the Royal Norwegian Navy and will explore a wide range of topics under the overarching theme of “Challenges in Arctic and Cyber Security.”
At the conclusion of the RAS, attendees will be able to:
- Interrelate the research of the Newport Arctic Scholars Initiative (NASI) concerning the collective defense and security of the Arctic region.
- Discuss the principles of seapower as they relate to capabilities and confidence-building measures.
- Discuss maritime challenges in the Eastern and Southern flanks with participants from the Baltic, Black, and the Mediterranean Seas.
- Identify Russia’s evolving military strategy.
- Participate in an International Crisis Stability Wargame.
During the event you will have the opportunity to participate in an International Crisis Stability Wargame and earn a certificate for your participation.
