About the CIPI Summer Workshop
This three-day event addresses policy relevant research of significance for the Navy and the Nation. Each year focuses on a different topic, such as the inaugural 2022 workshop theme of “maritime cybersecurity.”
Select participants are brought to Newport to engage directly with Naval War College faculty and students. Working together, they prepare publications to have a constructive impact on national security policy and international affairs. They also participate in tabletop exercises and learn from distinguished guest speakers. This event helps build a community of thought leaders to advance research and policy analysis.
