The quick rise of generative AI has raised lots of questions for faculty, students, and staff alike on what kind of use is acceptable and ethical; what kinds of tasks are suited to GAI; what tools are out there that can assist in everyday tasks; and how to use these tools effectively and assess the outputs. In this LOO, we will explore all of these questions, with specific focus on research and classroom applications at NWC, and think through how GAI can both support and hinder learning.
