Synopsis
CMC Curtis is currently in the dissertation portion of his DEL degree and wishes to pass along some of the pros & cons of investing in a Doctoral degree.
The Doctor of Executive Leadership is a professional research doctorate designed to develop senior-level leaders capable of integrating theory with practice at the executive leadership level for the sustainability and service of organizations, communities, or institutions in an increasingly complex world.
The Doctor of Executive Leadership balances scholarship with practical application, extending knowledge to a wide variety of industries or sectors. The program is intended for persons in management or leadership positions who aspire to rise in and improve their current organization, teach leadership in higher education or organizational settings, and/or consult with others to improve leadership and organizational excellence.
Graduates are equipped to ethically lead organizations to greater effectiveness and sustainment by understanding and implementing change, utilizing resources effectively, encouraging innovative solutions to problems, making timely judgments, developing collaborations and networks, and facilitating team-building for maximum effectiveness.
