The Oskin Leadership Institute at Widener University has named retired Rear Adm. Margaret “Peg” Klein as the 2018 Beideman Visiting Scholar. Klein is currently dean of leadership and ethics at the U.S. Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island after serving 35 years as a decorated Navy officer.

Professor James R. Holmes, the J.C. Wylie chair of maritime strategy at U.S. Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island, visited the Brazilian Naval War College, March 26-28, where he was a participant of the Brazilian navy’s symposium on “Maritime Power in the XXI Century.”

From the Maritime Advanced Warfighting School

As part of their studies in U.S. Naval War College’s Maritime Advanced Warfighting School (MAWS), 35 students and six faculty will visit Italy, April 2-12, to execute a fast-paced ‘staff ride’ examining the Allied Italian Campaign of World War II.

U.S. Naval War College (NWC) kicked off a two-day workshop titled "Breaking the Mold" in its Mahan Reading room, March 7. The event, attended by 58 people representing two dozen different organizations, was sponsored by the under secretary of the Navy, the Honorable Thomas B. Modly.

U.S. Naval War College (NWC) graduated 61 Navy, Marine Corps and Army officers during a graduation ceremony held in Spruance Auditorium, March 6.
