The Joint Military Operations (JMO) course at the U.S. Naval War College (NWC) begins on August 6th, 2021 and concludes on November 5th, 2021. Please follow health and safety guidelines and refer to the orientation material for more guidance.

The Joint Military Operations department at NWC teaches the JMO course to senior-ranking U.S. and international military officers (O5-O6), along with nominated civilian applicants (GS14-GS15, or equivalent).

This course is designed to prepare future military and civilian leaders for the operational arena by emphasizing problem-solving, operational planning, and joint force application to achieve military objectives. Students will examine theater-strategic and operational levels of war across the spectrum of conflict and further develop joint attitudes and perspectives; officers will be exposed to, and increase their understanding of, service cultures while concentrating on joint staff operations.
