This event is for spouses, partners, and significant others of military/civilian employees assigned to the Naval War College and Naval Station Newport and its tenant activities, Foundation members, and local-area retirees or active/reserve personnel.This was the 10th conference hosted by the China Maritime Studies Institute (CMSI) and focused on the chief of naval operations-directed topic of China's naval shipbuilding. The topic was a logical progression from the previous three annual conferences -- "China's Evolving Surface Fleet," "China's Strategy for the Near Seas," and "China's Far Seas Operations" -- and supported CMSI's research efforts.
