Graduate Certificate in Maritime History

This event is for U.S. Naval War College faculty, staff, students and guests.

The Graduate Certificate in Maritime History program will award its first two certificates in the Mahan Rotunda on March 2, 2020. The ceremony will include U.S. Naval War College (NWC) faculty, staff, students and guests.

This program is a specialized track for students who are looking to deepen their expertise in maritime history and naval warfare. During the academic year, students will develop and produce a professional, publishable paper on maritime history. Paper topics and research will draw from the unique resources of the Naval Historical Collections under the scholarly supervision of the Hattendorf Historical Center and affiliated historians at NWC.
