U.S. Naval War College (NWC) President Rear Adm. Darryl Walker met with Rear Adm. Ketreck V. Brooks, commander of MyNavy Career Center (MNCC), at the war college’s Newport, Rhode Island, campus on Sept. 10.

Brooks became the second commander of MNCC during a ceremony in Millington, Tennessee, on Aug. 8, taking over for Rear Adm. Stuart C. Satterwhite, who had held command since its inception in September of 2021.

MNCC replaced the Navy’s personnel support detachments with a global network of Transaction Service Centers (TSCs) each with a Center of Excellence focus, implemented Enterprise Customer Relationship Management technology to execute a tiered service delivery model, and established an HR Service Center (HRSC) providing 24-hour customer service.

During the meeting, the leaders discussed the value of using proven problem-solving methods to improve human resources business processes quickly and efficiently, so Sailors can stay focused on warfighting.

Before assuming his current position, Brooks – a former naval flight officer who has served as a human resources officer since 2008 – served as Transformation Integration Branch Head on the staff of the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Personnel, Manpower, and Training (OPNAV N16).
