Again, welcome to the inaugural Naval Strategist Symposium! This first-time event is intended to bring the Strategist community together at Newport and give it a chance to both "think big" and use its collective intellect to help shape the strategic vision of the Navy. In order to accomplish these goals, the day is a combination of panels, a keynote address, and a working group session.

Working Group Session

As for the working group session, the Navy faces an array of challenges, from fiscal constraints to rising competitors to continued demand around the globe. Having the combined brainpower of over 60 Strategists in one place begs for tapping into it, and we intend to do so. The Plans, Operations and Strategy directorate at OPNAV would like to leverage the talent brought together to solicit your thoughts and recommendations on a variety of topics. More to come regarding the workshop as the event nears.
